While creating Single Keyword Ad Groups (SKAGs) is possible within Tenscores, it is generally not recommended. SKAGs can lead to overly fragmented campaign structures that don't always align with search intent. However, if you still wish to proceed, here’s how to create them.
Steps to Create Single Keyword Ad Groups (SKAGs)
Access the Regrouper
To start, navigate to the Regrouper within any campaign or ad group in Tenscores. If your campaign needs restructuring, you’ll see a “Restructure Now” button prompting you to make adjustments. For campaigns that are already well-structured, the Regrouper will be accessible through various links in your dashboard.
Choose Single Keyword Ad Groups
During the restructuring process, you will be presented with three options for how to organize your ad groups. To create Single Keyword Ad Groups, select the last option, which specifically designates the creation of SKAGs.Publish Your New Ad Groups
After selecting the SKAG option, continue through the remaining steps of the process, reviewing and confirming changes along the way. Once you've reached the final step, you can publish your new SKAGs, which will then be reflected in your campaign structure.
Why Are SKAGs Not Recommended?
While SKAGs can give you granular control over individual keywords, they often lead to inefficient campaign management. Tenscores' “Regular” grouping option is designed to automatically assess when a keyword deserves its own ad group and when multiple keywords can share the same ad group based on search intent.
Grouping keywords by search intent is crucial for maximizing relevance and improving the overall performance of your campaigns. Ads are more effective when they speak to a broader intent shared by several keywords, rather than being overly specific to a single term. This also simplifies management and ensures that your ad copy is aligned with multiple search variations, creating a more cohesive and relevant user experience.
By using Tenscores’ default method, you can take advantage of smart grouping that balances relevance and efficiency without the need for unnecessary fragmentation, making it easier to manage your campaigns at scale.
