Landing Page Experience is most influenced by the ad, more than it is influenced by something on the landing page or its speed. Getting an Expected CTR of Above Average is the first step to improving Landing Page Experience.

  • Step 1: Find the promise or the offer that gets an Expected CTR above average.

  • Step 2: Deliver on that promise on the landing page.

Here's an old example:

In this example, we were optimizing our Expected CTR.

What happened instead was a better Landing Page Experience, that rose to Above Average. It's a common by-product of improving CTR.

Just as the keyword and the ad work in tandem to target the right audience with the right offer. The ad and the landing page work in tandem to deliver a great user experience, which starts by finding exactly what constitutes a good experience for a specific user, and ends by delivering it.

We have plans to bring landing page recommendations into Tenscores, and they will come in the form of user experience.
