The fastest way is to copy what your competitors are doing and see if it helps you. There are spy tools that can show you which of your competitor ads are most successful (Spyfu, SEMRush, etc).

That's the fastest, but not the best way.

The best way is unfortunately not the fastest, and is to understand your searchers better than everyone else in your market. Here's an article that explains, I think you've read it already and most likely don't have the time to go through the time consuming process.

So my next best recommendation is for you to find a junior copywriter who will learn and test ads for you continuously. A big mistake people make is to think they can do this quickly, within a few iterations. You should consider that it may take 50 ad tests in one ad group before you find that one ad that changes everything. If you can find a junior copywriter who will gradually learn how your audience responds, then that person will be a great asset to your business.
